Itinerary & highlights

1. Day 1

   Arusha to Tarangire to Karatu

   Morning departure from Arusha. Full day game drive in Tarangire, famous for its elephants and baobab trees. Picnic lunch in the park and more wildlife viewing in the afternoon. Overnight in Karatu.

2. Day 2

   Karatu to Lake Manyara to Karatu

   Morning drive to Lake Manyara for a game drive through forest and lakeside areas, with chances to see elephants, giraffes, hippos, birds and tree-climbing lions. Lunch, then an afternoon game drive. Overnight in Karatu.

3. Day 3

   Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

   Early morning departure and descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with excellent chances of seeing lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos and rhino. Picnic lunch, then ascend in the afternoon and drive back to Arusha.
